We spoke to Ashley Pollak, Creative Director and Founder at production company Etio. He tells us about making the leap from freelancing to setting up his own production company.
Ashley speaks to Future Rising about his experiences in the creative industry, the work he is most proud of to date, and the challenges that come with setting up your own business.
When did video and documentary first grab your interest?
I studied BA (Hons) Photography, Film and TV at what is now Screen Academy Scotland. I originally picked that course because I couldn’t decide what to do. Having been at art school previously, I knew I wanted to do something creative but more commercial than say, fine art. The course was great as we were able to specialise in our third year, which is where I got interested in documentary.
