I am passionate about creativity as a solution to business problems. After graduating I plan to enter a top creative agency within a strategic capacity.
In both my academic and extra-curricular activities I have shown evidence of strong analytical capabilities, intellectual curiosity and pragmatism. During my time at the University of Oxford I have developed leadership, interpersonal skills and an ability to problem-solve, whilst demonstrating my aptitude for strategic thought and brand awareness.
o In my role as Director of Benjamin Britten’s opera The Rape of Lucretia, I developed my managerial skills, leading a team and cast of 15 up to age 35, whilst negotiating a number of obstacles to ensure that the opera was executed with real impact.
o Having encountered both financial issues and censorship from senior members of the clergy, I took executive decisions to preserve the opera’s artistic integrity and ensure maximum profit margin.
o I implemented an effective marketing strategy, selling out one of the largest venues in Oxford city.
o In my recent role as Arts Representative for my college I have completed rebrands of the societies under the aegis of the position.
Whilst studying at Oxford I maintain a strong academic interest in modernist literature, semiotics, gender and sexuality in music scholarship, and British opera. I regularly perform in a jazz band and attend life-drawing classes.
