All of my work experience involves some level of customer service. I've been promoted from entry level positions to supervisory roles twice; both times I was chosen ahead of more experienced colleagues.
I've always wanted to work in the games industry, as my primary hobby is gaming. My career path before university was to become a published author, and thereby begin writing for games (being a known author was a prerequisite). Since then the realities of bills and rent have caused me to seek a constant source of income, though I am still writing and still hope to move into the games industry.
Though I am trying to move away from the retail shop floor, I would be more than happy to work with computer games and/or board games at a retail level, as I feel my personal passion for these things would be reflected in my work.
Away from that, I have always been good with numbers and my degree in Creative Writing has given me an eye for details and small inconsistencies that can be applied to literally any job.
