Pete Giblin, a copywriter, is now practising his trade at Grey London after completing almost three years at digital agency Weapon7. Pete explained his route into advertising and how he’d always wanted to join the industry from an early age.

After studying a marketing degree at Brunel University, Pete went onto complete a masters in advertising at New Bucks University. He and his cousin, Alex Dunning (whose interview you can watch here), joined forces to form a creative team and after several months of interning they were lucky enough to land a job at Weapon7, who’s door sadly closed recently.
During our interview Pete talks about concepting for digital and the importance behind making sure it’s not just a technological first when creating advertising. Human insights, product insights and initial concepts must come first, with the digital execution coming after all the thought and research.
