The accounts department of any agency is an energetic, fast paced environment as account folk curate and project manage between client and internal teams. Charlotte Wheatley, an account executive at Proximity London, shares a comprehensive overview on a typical project plan from the very start when a client submits a brief through to the final delivery.
“Everything is about relationships… in account management.”
Charlotte didn’t study advertising or marketing, in fact she took theology and religious studies at Bristol University. Charlotte explains why people from various backgrounds should apply for jobs in the industry and why it’s so fulfilling to work in this area.
“Get in touch with someone junior who can give you a contact higher up in the agency.”
As usual there are plenty of ideas for landing a job, applying yourself correctly in the work place along with a slightly embarrassing moment Charlotte had on her her first day at Proximity.
