We caught up with Account Manager, Katherine Wellings from marketing agency Frukt. Kat shares her journey from discovering a career in account management and working her way up the ranks. Plenty of useful tips for anyone on a similar path.

Katherine Wellings started her career at TBWA\Paris where she interned as part of her Modern Languages degree. Passionate about music, she has now been an Account Manager at entertainment agency FRUKT for the last three years where she specialises in music partnerships and events.

Briefly describe your path after leaving college, deciding on university and landing a job at FRUKT

I’d always been quite academic and knew I wanted to continue my studies at university, but as the A-Levels, I’d taken were pretty varied and I had no idea what I wanted to do as a career, choosing a course wasn’t straightforward. I eventually opted to study French and Italian as I wanted to learn skills that would be transferable in any profession and also allow me to travel, as language students spend a year studying abroad as part of their degree.
