There are different levels of brief, depending on your skill set and experience level, from Open Studio asking for phone clips and finished films, to Studio Plus designed for pitches from experienced filmmakers through to Studio Pro for production companies.

Payments are awarded as prizes for finished content or as the production budget if you’re selected for the commission.

COMPETITION: Snickers Unskippable

Make an endlessly looping suspense video for Snickers. We’d like you to create meme-like films of high suspense moments that are crying out for a conclusion, only the conclusion never comes. Because it’s on a loop. The idea is that you simply can’t help watching to see what happens. The actual content only needs to be a few seconds long (but can be as long as you wish) that will keep the viewer in a state of anticipation, but it needs to loop seamlessly so it feels like a continuous sequence that might last one, five, ten minutes, or longer. It could be a single shot that, once looped, feels like it goes on forever. Or you could create a short sequence, with just a couple of edits that look like we cut back and forth to deliver that feeling of suspense. But please note, we aren’t looking for over-stylised films and wouldn’t expect you to spend too much time or money creating these so the idea and execution are much more important than the look and tone. You could shoot this on your phone or on a professional camera but the idea must have suspense and must be loopable continuously. See brief for more details. Learn more
