FutureRising dropped by UCL for an afternoon session on the creative industries. There were talks from Elspeth Spelzini (Starcom MediaVest) and Jack Smith (Watford Ad School), a creative challenge and the opportunity to network.
For the creative challenge attendees formed small teams and were given one hour to create ideas in response to a real creative brief. During that hour, our speakers helped the students refine their ideas.

Elspeth is a media planner and strategist, her background includes experience of a massive range of industries (Pharmaceutical, Events, Luxury, Retail, FMCG) and a great breadth of budgets, from £20k to £20 million. You can look forward to hearing what it is really like to work in the creative industries, how to get there and how great ideas come to life.
Jack Smith, Advertising Creative, Watford University
Jack is a creative entering the advertising world. He has studied at Bournemouth and at Watford, two highly regarded creative institutions. Jack is going to give you an insight into entering the creative industries, the cultures, the people and the perks.
FutureRising will be visiting Oxford University to attend the Arts, Media & Marketing fair, running CV clinics and providing Advertising professionals to talk at the event.
FutureRising will be visiting Cambridge University with a range of creative industry professionals to help graduates find work in the creative industries. Unilever and R/GA are confirmed to attend on the day.
