“Who in the world am I? Ah, that's the great puzzle.”
- Alice in Wonderland
An Alice, but not Alice in Wonderland. Who has met the Queen, but not the Queen of Hearts.
‘What is the use of books without pictures or conversation?’ is something this Alice asked herself. I became ‘curiouser and curiouser’ by the relationship between image and text and this lead me to study History of Art and English. The critical integration between these two spheres is applicable to advertising; in the best work an unexpected relationship between image and text creates a lasting impact.
My adventures continue in fashion and in the water, demonstrating my desire to go through any door and ability to excel in dynamic environments. Treading water as part of the Water polo team I’ve realised the importance of motivation and performing as a team, particularly in competitive situations.
Alice’s Evidence: My Account Management work experience at Leo Burnett provided an invaluable insight Through the Looking-Glass into the world of advertising and confirmed that this is the industry I want to be part of. Where I believe in the power of imagination that brands must utilise to tell their own stories and ensure their image retains.
